Whatuppp,

Even though we don't have a great record right now, our team has been playing better of late. Something clicked when we got back to back road wins against two playoff teams and we're starting to see what we're capable of. It's all a process and a journey but I believe our team has more room for improvement than the average team because we have a new coach and many new players. Everyone's been working hard and it's early in the season so we hope we can turn things around on the basketball court and go on a winning streak. As always, I really appreciate the fact that you guys support me and the Lakers!

On our road trip, the first stop was Atlanta and wow...it was hella cold. I definitely wasn't expecting it to be that cold, so I mistakenly walked off the plane wearing a thin long-sleeve. I walked into my hotel room and turned the thermostat up 5 degrees lol. Carlos Boozer has been really generous with his time and money, as he planned an awesome team-outing for some delicious sushi in Atlanta. Yummm...seared salmon is the best!

The other two spots on our road trip were Houston and Dallas. It was great seeing friends and Rockets employees that I haven't seen in awhile! I also got a chance to see Chandler Parsons in Dallas. He's definitely having fun out there and has a much bigger apartment in Dallas than he had in Houston.

Off the court, I've really been getting settled into LA comfortably. Things have been pretty difficult from a basketball standpoint, but everything else has been everything I can ask for. On most non-game days, I spend my time hanging out with family and friends. We've been playing random social games like Apples to Apples and Mafia, which always make for a good laugh and relaxing time. Family and friends have been trickling in town especially as the games are really getting underway so I've spent some time housing people I'm really close to. It's always refreshing to see them because it prevents me from thinking about basketball 24/7.

I've been continuing my kitchen grind haha. The newest addition to my menu is the buffalo burger. I'm a big, big fan of toppings, and since I'm rapidly climbing the ranks as a master chef, I will share with you my burger recipe. Buffalo meat with minced garlic, diced jalapeno, salt, and pepper. Throw onto the grill until medium rare and melt gruyere cheese on top. Toast the wheat buns. Add pan-fried crispy bacon, an over-medium egg, avocado, grilled onions, lettuce and tomato. Needless to say, it takes a large mouth to be able to fit the burger into your mouth, but because I spent the majority of my childhood talking loudly, I have no problems consuming this burger.

Spiritually, I've really been challenged to seek humility even more each day. When life is tough, it forces me to re-evaluate everything and learn to depend on God more than I initially think I need to. God continually stretches me and challenges me through basketball, and Im just trying to live each day pleasing Him. One verse that has really spoke to me recently is John 3:30 -- He must increase but I must decrease. This is counterintuitive to everything society preaches, but more of God and less of me is always the best formula!

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving! Cant wait to eat some delicious food with my family!!

PRAYER REQUEST:

The journey I've been on has had its ups and downs and I appreciate all of your support throughout. Some of you have asked how to pray for me so I decided to start a prayer group where I can send out requests for those that want to pray and support!! Please feel free to share with others you think would be interested. So much of what happens is out of our control, but prayer has been a place I have consistently found peace with God. Thanks for being such supportive fans!
